Cockatiel Help

19 February 2010 4 Comments

I have a SWEET little cockatiel and I want to get more birds. I have been reading about illigers mini macaws and everyone says they are really sweet and get along well with other birds. That sounds perfect for me! I also want to get a blue crown conure, sun conure, jardines parrot, and a panama amazon. I won’t get all of these, but could I house it with some of the similar sized, species friendly birds? In a very large cage of course.

Absolutely not! There is never a guarantee that even birds of the same species will get along in one cage. You must never mix types in one cage. You must plan to have proper space for a proper sized cage for each kind of bird you want. You are even talking about birds that come from different parts of the world. Unless you want injured or dead birds, do not attempt to mix them in one cage.
