Oh give me a break. Doberman are some of the most gentle and intelligent animals out there. I had a tiny jack russel and our doberman never ever laid a paw on him and she has at least 60 pounds on him, she was always the most gentle to people and other animals. You can tell the dog is holding back and not trying to hurt, he understands and sees that that is a small animal thta is fragile and not prey because his owner properly trained him.

My sister had a dog and her daughter later got a bird and it only took one time for the bird to peck the dog in the snout and he knew bettter to leave the bird alone. I don’t know if I would do that with a dog or even a cat. Some pets can play together and some really should be kept separate. I knew someone that had 2 dobermans and they were given a small white poodle. Those two dogs tore that poor dog to shreds within minutes.

Pretty funny. Hope the dog doesnt step on the bird by mistake. It happened to my first bird.

@scorpienna One has to wonder why you are so anti-dog. The doberman and conure are both alive and well…

Watching this video, I’d be surprised if the little bird is still alive. It’s a shame. Green cheeks can live 25-30 years and dogs what, 10-12? For people who think it’s okay to let your predator pets (dogs, cats) play with your prey pets (parrots) as long as you supervise the play, ask yourself who has faster reflexes, you or your pet. Something bad will happen in the blink of an eye and you’ll be too slow to stop it. Getting bitten to death by a dog is a gruesome way to die.

I love how the dobe makes sure not to land on the bird when it lowers its face. He’s so sure not to hurt the little thing. Adorable.

cute “bad dobbie” takes such great care not to trample on the angry little bird….he keeps his mouth shut, probably knows it’s a vulnerable little bird,so he doesn’t play like he would with another doggie….cute

  • katbby23 said:

I was a little worried for the bird, not gonna lie. However, I don’t think the bird is angry per se..Maybe frustrated but he was CHASING AFTER the dog. And the dobie was really gentle too. But you have to really know your dog and he has be well-trained. Still pushing your luck a bit in my opinion but glad neither received any battle wounds haha. Cute video.
