Lets start with the cons first and then go to the pros.

Making your own homemade kitten food will take you more time then simply opening a bag or can of kitten food. There is nothing simpler then pouring premade food into your kittens bowl. Making your own food will require you to spend time making it every few days.

On the other side, the more used to making homemade kitten food you are the less time it will take you to make it and it has been proven that the more your cats diet resembles his natural diet in the wild, the healthier and longer your cat will live.

Making your own kitten food will cost more money in the beginning. A kitten eats uncooked meat and veggies.

It will actually cost you less money in the long run to feed your cats homemade food. When your kitten gets the right amount of nutrition he will be sick less often. That means that you will spend less on vet bills. You still need to get your friend his shots but the sick vet bills will be greatly reduced. Your kitten will also eat less when he is properly feed.

You can’t just start feeding your cat homemade food because some of our food is actually poison to him. Make sure you do your homework first and do it thoroughly.

Cats are lactose intolerant. Milk will not kill your kitten but it will make him feel bad. Tomatoes, onions, and garlic are poison to cats. They should not eat anything that is in the same food groups as those.

Like all things, when you know the rules and follow them, it becomes easy to do.

Giving your cat or kitten healthy cat food will allow your kitten to live a longer, healthy life. Give your kitten homemade kitten food.
