RAWR Raw Food Diet For Dogs — My Review

15 July 2010 No Comment

Long ago I discovered that when trying something for the first time, mistakes are an inevitable part of the learning process. But, in the case of drastically modifying your dog’s diet, what if your mistakes jeopardize your dog’s lives?

That’s precisely the predicament I faced when, after much research, I decided to take the plunge and put my two Dalmatians on a raw food diet. I already knew that this type of diet was much the best for my doggy family, but I was still somewhat apprehensive about switching them for fear of a reaction after years of eating pre-cooked foods.

Because of this, Maggie Rhines’ Going Rawr! Dog Lover’s Compendium was a real life saver for me. Her book went into enormous detail when it came to the issue of food safety. From learning how to buy fresh to food handling; from preparation and serving to how much to prepare; from what to prepare to how to transition adult dogs, and how to wean pups… the list goes on and on!

If you’re in any way considering putting your dog on the Raw Dog Food Diet, I recommend that you don’t do anything before reading this book. It will help you save money, save time and more importantly, it will give you the confidence to start your babies on this healthy diet.
